On-Camera Foundations

Simple tools. Real confidence

This 6-week in-person course in Amsterdam is your launchpad for on-camera work. Whether you’re stepping off the stage, switching mediums, or just starting out, this acting class breaks down the technical tools and mindset shifts you need to begin auditioning with confidence.

You’ll walk away with camera-ready fundamentals, a repeatable self-tape process, and a strong foundation for continued on-camera training.

WHO THIS IS FOR

On-Camera Foundations is built for actors who are new to camera work: stage actors translating their training to screen, actors returning after time away, and actors just starting out who want a clear, structured way in. If you’ve never self-taped before, or you have but aren’t sure why it’s not landing, this class gives you the framework to fix that.

You'll Learn

Each week builds on the last, moving from the technical basics of being on camera into a full, repeatable audition process:

Your Next Step After Foundations

On-Camera Foundations gives you the technical and performance tools needed to continue into regular on-camera training.

Completing Foundations meets the training prerequisite for Ongoing On-Camera Training. Actors who have completed previous on-camera training at another school, studio, or program may also qualify.

All new participants require approval from Dustin before joining Ongoing On-Camera Training so he can make sure the class is the right fit for their current training and experience.

QUESTIONS

Practical Information

Do I need on-camera experience to join?

No. This class is built for actors who are new to camera work, whatever your background.

Yes. Foundations is designed to help actors understand what changes when moving from stage to screen, including framing, eye lines, scale, and working naturally within the camera.

That’s fine. Foundations can help you understand why certain choices work on camera and give you a more consistent process for preparing and recording auditions.

No. We have all the equipment at the studio

After Foundations, you can continue developing your camera work through Ongoing On-Camera Training or use the On Camera Technique + Self-Tape Lab for standalone practice. Dustin can help you decide which option makes the most sense for your next step
