Open Frame Studios is opening three free acting workshops in Amsterdam.
Each session is a three-hour working class with Dustin Lewis, founder of Open Frame Studios. Bring a short piece of prepared material, work directly with Dustin, ask questions, and experience the approach behind the studio.

This is a working session, not a presentation.
Actors will have the opportunity to bring material they are already working on and explore it directly with Dustin. Along the way, the group can talk about acting process, training, auditions, career development, and the realities of working professionally in the industry.
You’ll also get a chance to learn more about Dustin, his approach to actor training, and why he created Open Frame Studios.
All levels are welcome.
What You Can Bring
There is no assigned material.
Bring a short piece of prepared acting material you would like to explore during the workshop. That could be
- A short scene
- Audition sides
- Self-tape material
- A monologue
- Another short piece of prepared acting material
Choose something you are already interested in working on. The goal is to spend the session doing real work rather than preparing for a specific classroom exercise.
Because this is a group workshop, you will also learn by watching, listening, asking questions, and taking part in the work happening throughout the room.
What We'll Explore
Every workshop will develop around the actors and material in the room.
You may work on scene choices, preparation, listening, auditions, self-tapes, taking direction, or questions about your individual acting process.
The workshop is also an open conversation about training, auditions, professional work, and how actors can build a process they can continue using independently.
There is no single “right” way to work.
The goal is to help each actor find what is truthful, useful, and repeatable for them.

Meet Dustin Lewis
Founder · Actor · Acting Teacher
Dustin Lewis is the founder of Open Frame Studios and has more than 30 years of professional acting and teaching experience.
His work spans film, television, and theatre, including productions for Marvel, Blumhouse, HBO, and Fox.
His approach to training is practical and actor-focused. Rather than teaching one correct way to perform, Dustin helps actors build tools, confidence, instincts, and a process they can rely on in auditions, rehearsals, on set, and in their own preparation.
Why Open Frame Studios?
Open Frame Studios was created around a simple idea: acting training should give you tools you can continue using when the teacher is no longer standing beside you.
The work is designed to help actors become more specific, more confident, and more trusting of their own instincts.
This free workshop gives you a chance to experience that approach firsthand, ask questions, meet Dustin, and see whether Open Frame feels like the right place for your work.

Practical Information
Do I need acting experience?
No. The workshop is open to actors at all levels, from people just beginning their training to experienced and working professionals.
Do I need to prepare something?
Yes. Bring a short piece of acting material you would like to work on. It can be a scene, audition sides, self-tape material, monologue, or another short piece.
Will everyone work during the workshop?
The workshop is designed as a small working session with only eight actors. Dustin will work with the actors and material in the room, and everyone will also take part by watching, listening, discussing the work, and learning from each other.
Can I attend more than one workshop?
No. To make the workshops available to as many actors as possible, each person may register for one of the three free sessions.
What happens if my preferred session is full?
You can join the waitlist. If a place becomes available, Open Frame Studios will contact you.
