DUSTIN LEWIS
Founder. Actor. Instructor. Creative Collaborator
I created Open Frame Studios as a place for actors to show up fully, as they are, with curiosity, courage, and craft.
Whether you’re new to the screen and stage or have been working for decades, there’s always something to uncover. My teaching blends on-set experience, theater training, and a deep respect for the individual artist. Together, we explore how to make the work specific, honest, and grounded, without overthinking it or performing for approval.
I’ve worked in television, film, and theatre around the world, for over 30 years and I love helping actors find their unique rhythm and process.
Teaching Approach
Dustin’s teaching is rooted in the belief that technique should expand an actor’s freedom, not restrict it. His classes are demanding and specific, but always in service of the actor’s instrument and their ability to work truthfully in any room — audition, rehearsal, or set. Actors who train with Dustin consistently describe the work as practical, honest, and permanent.

Loveday Smith
Actor. Instructor. Creative Collaborator
Loveday Smith is a British actor, instructor, and creative collaborator working across film, television, theatre, voice-over, and performance art.
Her career began in the UK, where she worked with directors including Sir Peter Hall, John Doyle, Nikolai Foster, and Sam Mendes, alongside appearances in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and Heartbeat. Based in the Netherlands since 2013, she continues to work internationally across stage and screen.
Recent credits include Hunter Street, Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden, Professor T, and Bookish. At Open Frame Studios, Loveday brings her professional experience into practical, actor-focused training and career development.
