1. About These Terms
These Terms apply to all classes, workshops, courses, and services offered by Open Frame Studios (KVK: 98291432), based in Amsterdam. By booking, paying, or attending, you agree to these Terms.
2. Admissions
Some courses have requirements or an application process. We reserve the right to decline enrollment if a participant does not meet the stated requirements, without obligation to provide reasons. All courses are taught in English unless stated otherwise.
Participants under 18 require written consent from a parent or legal guardian before attending. By providing consent, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on behalf of the participant.
Open Frame Studios reserves the right to remove a participant from a course if their behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or affects the learning environment of others. In such cases, no refund will be issued.
3. Bookings & Payment
All bookings are made through our website. A booking is confirmed only once full payment has been successfully processed. We do not hold places without payment.
Payments are processed securely by Mollie. Open Frame Studios does not store your card details.
Prices are stated in Euros (€) and VAT is not included unless stated otherwise.
4. EU Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off)
If you book online as a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking without giving a reason, provided the course or service has not yet started.
If you choose to begin the service within the 14-day period, you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once the class begins. To exercise your right of withdrawal, contact us at dustin@openframestudios.nl before the course starts.
5. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds
Cancellation by you — single classes: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session to be eligible for a reschedule.
Cancellations made within 48 hours or missed sessions are non-refundable.
Cancellation by you — courses: If you withdraw more than 14 days before the course start date, you may be eligible for a refund minus any non-refundable deposit. Once a course has started, no refunds are issued except where required by law.
Cancellation by Open Frame Studios: If we cancel a session or course, you will receive a full refund or an alternative booking at your choice. We are not liable for costs you incur as a result of our cancellation, such as travel.
Rescheduling: We reserve the right to change the time, date, instructor, or location of a class. We will notify you as soon as possible. If the change is significant and unacceptable to you, you may cancel for a full refund.
6. Attendance
Acting training at Open Frame Studios is cumulative — each session builds on the previous. Consistent attendance is expected and is part of your commitment to the process.
Missed sessions are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another participant. If you miss more than two sessions in a multi-week course without prior notice, we reserve the right to ask you not to re-enroll in a future intake to protect the integrity of the group.
7. Health & Safety
Your safety and the safety of other participants is our priority.
Before attending, you must inform us in writing of any physical, medical, or psychological conditions that may affect your participation or the safety of others. This information is kept confidential and used only to ensure appropriate support.
Participation in acting classes involves physical and emotional engagement. By attending, you confirm that you are in a suitable condition to participate and that you have disclosed any relevant conditions.
Open Frame Studios maintains a safe and respectful environment. Any behavior that threatens the physical or psychological safety of participants or staff will result in immediate removal from the program without refund.
We carry public liability insurance for our sessions. However, we are not responsible for personal injury or loss of belongings arising from your own negligence. We recommend that participants hold their own personal insurance where appropriate.
8. Media & Photography
Sessions at Open Frame Studios may be photographed or recorded for internal use, training purposes, or promotional materials.
We will inform participants in advance of any session being recorded or photographed for promotional use. You may opt out at any time by notifying us in writing at dustin@openframestudios.nl. Opting out does not affect your right to participate.
All course materials, exercises, and content created by Open Frame Studios remain our intellectual property and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
9. Privacy & Data
We process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR. Please read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for full details. You can exercise your data rights at any time by contacting dustin@openframestudios.nl.
10. Liability
Our maximum liability to you is limited to the total amount you paid for the relevant class or course. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of earnings, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, death, or personal injury caused by our fault, or any rights that cannot be waived under Dutch or EU law.
11. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact us at dustin@openframestudios.nl. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and provide a full response within 30 days.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you have the right to submit it to the Dutch consumer dispute resolution body or lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens for data-related concerns.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations where that failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including illness, venue unavailability, or government measures. In such cases, we will offer a reschedule or refund where possible.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued attendance after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
